When busy IT professionals at Bangalore's ITPL walked by their cafeteria area at lunchtime they were taken aback to see an almost life-like airplane sitting on the tarmac! Though some wished ITPL had opened an airstrip, the truth was not so far from it. IDEA had just announced an activity that offered participants the chance to fly their own plane!
This was part of an activity in celebration of IDEA's newly opened showroom near ITPL. For starters, the life-size plane model drew the crowds in. You could take pictures with the plane and have them printed and framed as a keepsake that became conversation starters on the work table. The gaming station was the next layer to the idea. Playing a flight simulator game got the participant a chance to win a spin in a real plane along with several other exciting prizes.
The team exceeded the target 500 people that the brand wanted to interact with in the 2 day timeframe. We converted 73 walk-ins into IDEA customers, too!
